“Dinner Day” is a holiday that was started in Pennsylvania by a family that was moved by the Sept. 11 tragedy.  On Oct. 23, 2002, Pennsylvania passed a House resolution that declared Dinner Day an official holiday.  Since that time, on the second Saturday of January residents are encouraged to invite their neighbors to dinner. “Dinner Day” was started to increase comradery between neighbors by inviting their neighbors to dinner to celebrate friendship.

The national date for “Dinner Day” is Saturday January 14.

Please consider inviting one of your neighbors over for dinner on Saturday, Jan 14th.
