“All Things New “
Isaiah 65:17-25, Sanctity of Life Sunday, January 22, 2011
“Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.” – Isaiah 65:17 (NIV)
What makes life sacred? It’s value comes from its Creator. God makes life sacred. He designed it to be revered, protected, enjoyed and abundant. In Genesis chapter one a repeated phrase is, “and God saw that it was good.” Adam lost the good by his rebellious decision. Our world is filled with trouble now. But God did not forget us. God the Father sent Jesus Christ to save people from sin’s curse. One day Jesus will return and redeem this world. He will make all things new. The past will be forgotten! God’s people are to pass on this good news by their acts of kindness to those who need their lives changed by God’s power in Christ Jesus.
This coming Sunday (Jan. 29), we will return to our studies in the book of Romans. This week we will consider how Christ and His grace is sufficient for all our needs. (Romans 5:18-21)
~ Pastor Matt
